Starting a new stitch thanks to some inspiration f Starting a new stitch thanks to some inspiration from a surprise design commission! 🥳🪡💕 Or, I should say, re-starting a new stitch after a teensy bit of frogging. Learn from my mistakes, fellow stitchers. If a design is color-sensitive and calls for one brand, don’t assume another brand conversion will be an exact match. Sullivan’s is usually very close to DMC as you can see in the third pic, but that third shade down really had me questioning my design for a minute! 😅 Now back to stitching! I won’t be able to show you this one for a few months, but I’ll try to sneak a couple WIP pics as proof of life. It seems I’m not the only one in a stitching funk It seems I’m not the only one in a stitching funk right now, so maybe I can inspire my fellow cross-stitchers with something a little different. 🪡 💕 Introducing my new “Flowers in Stitches” counted thread embroidery sampler, now available in the current Spring issue of @justcrossstitch! This design was so fun to stitch, with just enough standard counted cross stitch to keep your confidence up while teaching you 15 (if I remember right) classic embroidery stitches right there on your familiar Aida cloth. I hope you’ll give this one a try; I can’t wait to see what you make with me! 🤗🌷 (P.S. I almost forgot to recommend the beautiful blue fabric from #wicheltimports and the amazing hand dyed floss from @thegentleartinc! On this #tbt, I’m going to throw it back to the on On this #tbt, I’m going to throw it back to the one that started it all. 🪡💕 “I believe…” was first seen in @justcrossstitch in 2019 as a winner in their ornament design contest. 🎄🎅🥳 It was not only my first Christmas cross stitch design but my first original cross stitch design ever. Getting selected as a winner was a dream come true for the ten year old inside of me who grew up stitching patterns from similar magazines. And now I’ve designed a total of 15 patterns for Just Cross-Stitch, not to mention numerous others for @sulkythreads, @cottonclubcrafts, and more. New finish! 😍🥳 I finally mounted my Cemetery Row New finish! 😍🥳 I finally mounted my Cemetery Row sampler from the @justcrossstitch Halloween issue, just in time for the big day! 🎃👻 I found this sign and painted over the words that would’ve shown around the stitching. I love how it turned out! You don’t have to get trapped in the craft department when you’re looking for ways to mount your finished cross stitch pieces.
