It seems I’m not the only one in a stitching funk It seems I’m not the only one in a stitching funk right now, so maybe I can inspire my fellow cross-stitchers with something a little different. 🪡 💕 Introducing my new “Flowers in Stitches” counted thread embroidery sampler, now available in the current Spring issue of @justcrossstitch! This design was so fun to stitch, with just enough standard counted cross stitch to keep your confidence up while teaching you 15 (if I remember right) classic embroidery stitches right there on your familiar Aida cloth. I hope you’ll give this one a try; I can’t wait to see what you make with me! 🤗🌷 (P.S. I almost forgot to recommend the beautiful blue fabric from #wicheltimports and the amazing hand dyed floss from @thegentleartinc! And now for my final two gifted makes this year. 📕 And now for my final two gifted makes this year. 📕 ☕️ 💕 These two pretties were for two lovely friends who I formed an impromptu book club* with last year… *We’ve read one same book at the same time that we’ve never discussed, despite getting together multiple times since. 😅🤷‍♀️ Cross stitch bookmarks are a sweet quick option to add a little handmade love to your gifting. They can even be used as a gift tag! Or pair them with a cute coffee/tea mug to encourage more frequent self-care reading time. I’ve made some slow progress on this one…and now I I’ve made some slow progress on this one…and now I think I’m going to rip it out. 😅🤦‍♀️😭 Either the software mock-ups have become less reliable or my designs have been more in need of color accuracy lately, but hopefully one of these days I’ll learn to trust my instincts BEFORE test stitching. I don’t want these stitches to jump off the background, but I’m thinking there wont be any contrast at all with this color. 🤔 It’s fun to play with the waste canvas but it sure makes it hard to confirm what the colors will look like once it’s gone!
